A representative from the Department will visit the site prior to the start of the project to inspect the site and review options with the landowner.<\/li><li>Double-row hedgerows are preferred and recommended. However, single row hedgerows will also be eligible.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Funding Levels:<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>The Province is responsible for supplying the seedlings, preparing the site, and having the trees planted.<\/li><li>The Landowner agrees to pay $0.25 \/ seedling planted.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"color:#26abed\" class=\"has-text-color has-large-font-size wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.princeedwardisland.ca\/en\/service\/apply-hedgerow-planting\">Apply for hedgerow planting<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">PEI Hedgerow Repair, Buffer Zone Planting<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Program Criteria:<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Older hedgerows with gaps, collapsing spruce<\/li><li>Buffer zones, high sloped land<\/li><li>2-3 year old trees, &#8220;gallon&#8221;pots<\/li><li>Wide variety of native species available<\/li><li>Arrangements may differ between watershed groups<\/li><li>Goals of habitat creation and restoration strongly supported<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Funding Levels:<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Service provided at no charge.
